Are you going to study in Utrecht?
Participate in the general introduction week from the 16th until the 19th of August and experience what Utrecht has to offer you!

Introduction for students
Every year in August, Utrecht University and Hogeschool Utrecht organise four days of activities for its newly enrolled students. About 3,500 students participate in this general introduction of the city. On the day of arrival these students will be divided into groups of approximately fourteen new students and two mentors who will guide the group through the city throughout these four days and make sure you will get acquainted with the city, the student life and Utrecht University and the Hogeschool Utrecht.

In the city centre as well as at the Uithof (the university campus) many interesting activities are organised. These events are cultural, informative and entertaining. Moreover they allow students to get a comprehensive view of life as a student in Utrecht. As an international Master student you will also be able to get access to this lively four-day-happening.

Students taking part in the August introduction event are known to find it easier to integrate into Dutch society and the local student community once they start their Master's program in September.

However the introductionweek is mainly focused on Dutch students, the official language of the introductionweek will be Dutch.

Conditions
All international Master students are invited to the General Introduction Time in August. However, only a limited number (yet to be decided) will be admitted. Tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Students participating in the General Introduction Time pay a fee of € 59,- to the organisers on the first day. Students receive a passe-partout (giving them free access to all the premises), lunches, a number of drinks and limited local bus transport.
